Cougar Mountain Farm has been pursuing sustainability for three generations. Founded in 1972 by Edd and Betsy Wemple the farm became home to the Hoedads Workers Cooperative, one of our countrys very first "back to the land movements". Today Noah and Anna Wemple continue to build on the dream of teaching sustainable living practices. Our 320 acre working farm is surrounded by forests, meadows, old-growth Douglas Fir and Yew trees. Each terrace of the orchard overlooks the southern end of the beautiful Willamette Valley. Operating as an Educational Resort Center, students can learn organic farming, solar power, and many other sustainable living practices.
