see our website at https://www.level-it.com  we use kiln dried softwood lumber of lengths no longer than 24 inches  (2X4, 2X2, 1X4) and some pieces as short as 6 to 14 inches.  our 2X6 pieces are 42 inches long  some 2X2's must be clear vertical grain  all other lumber is structurally sound appearance grade(s) such as "home center grade".  Hardwood material that machines as easily as above could be acceptable, i.e. alder, poplar, etc.    We're actively seeking continuous sources for these materials.  Amounts to increase as our business grows - starting with unit quantities.
